Michele Morando

Michele Morando (1978) is an Italian painter who has been based in France since 2010. His work explores the tensions between the visible and the invisible through an approach in which light and atmosphere play a fundamental role. He develops a form of painting imbued with a certain cinematic melancholy.

Having started working at the age of 17, he held various jobs before being able to fully devote himself to art. He discovered artistic practice on his own, without guidance or reference points, in an environment far removed from that world, before gradually forging his own path.
