Juliette works with textiles. Today a textile designer, she launched her eponymous label in 2013. Deliberately positioned in the high-end market and eco-oriented, she ensures responsible production practices that are mindful of the environment. In her approach to textiles, she seeks to revalorize traditional techniques such as natural dyeing and printing by hybridizing them with her contemporary universe. Around her pots, she cooks up ancestral recipes and recomposes chance. Her studio functions as a laboratory, where fabric immerses itself in color, moving from bath to bath. Specialized in textile finishing, her process unfolds in three essential phases: drawing, dyeing, printing. Through these recipes, she creates collections of high-end scarves, fabrics, and textile objects, handcrafted in France.

Career

Juliette Vergne was born in Nîmes, the birthplace of denim. She quickly developed an interest in textiles and, after training in fashion design, turned toward pattern-making and material research. She graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon in textile design, specializing in patterns and printing. The city, with its rich textile heritage, left a strong mark on her through its history of silk production. Building on these discoveries, she completed her studies at the HEAR in Mulhouse, a city known for textile printing, where she subsequently settled.
