Sophie Weigel

After an initial training in photography, I joined the photo studio of a furniture company, where I worked for about fifteen years and gained extensive and diverse experience in image-making.

At the same time, I consistently followed and contributed to the activities of the Hors-Champs studio and gallery. In 2018, together with Laurent Weigel, I co-founded the image hub Le Réverbère, based at Motoco.

There, I continue to share my experience and expertise through educational workshops, introducing young audiences to photographic techniques and image processes.

My personal work lies at the intersection of plant life and the exploration of historical processes such as cyanotype.
