Noémie Vidonne (born 1999) lives and works in Mulhouse. She entered the Haute École des Arts du Rhin (HEAR) in Mulhouse in 2018 and obtained her DNSEP Art degree in 2023.

Her multidisciplinary practice moves between sculpture, video, printmaking, painting, and installation. She explores memory and places—whether mental or physical—examining how these spaces become spatialized and transform over time.

In her work, Noémie constructs scenes and atmospheres drawn from spaces she has crossed, places visited in dreams, or fragments of her past. Through childhood memories as well as more dreamlike recollections, she creates new environments imbued with the memory of her family and her own history.

What interests her about memory is that it is never exact—always slightly blurred. Dreams in particular are, for her, a mixture of sensations, images, and mirages.

“I remember that the garden is indoors, waterfalls fall from the sky, the horizon is an infinite white, and the stars can be gathered from the ground.”
