Laurent Weigel
Photography
After several years working in advertising photography, I founded Atelier Hors-Champs in Mulhouse in 2006. There, I expanded my photographic services by specializing in image production and reproduction.
In 2010, I opened a photography gallery on the ground floor of the studio. In partnership with organizations such as La Chambre (Strasbourg), Photographes en Alsace, the Mulhouse Biennale of Photography, and Mulhouse Art Contemporain, the Hors-Champs gallery presented six exhibitions per year to the public.
Since 2015, I have continued exploring image-related techniques in my new studio at Motoco. In 2018, together with Sophie Weigel, I co-founded the image hub “Le Réverbère,” where I also lead numerous workshops and educational projects for both adults and school audiences.
My personal work resembles a photographic journal—an inventory of my visual horizon, a black-and-white self-portrait composed of fragments of everyday life.
