Mellinger _portrait

Laurence Mellinger

Multimedia

La Filature prizewinner at Mulhouse 003—an exhibition of young graduates from French art schools—she has lived and worked in Mulhouse since 2004.

Through a reflection on the interactions between human beings and their environment, Laurence Mellinger’s work moves across disciplines depending on context. Between site-specific multimedia installations, sculpture, painting, and design, her transdisciplinary research has led her to collaborate with numerous artists, associations, and institutions, and to develop many collective projects.

In parallel, she conducts an experimental, multidisciplinary visual practice with various audiences, notably in collaboration with La Kunsthalle Mulhouse, the contemporary art center of Mulhouse.
