Juliette DIGNAT
Textile / Sound / Installations
My visual practice is rooted in the way ecological issues nourish the imaginary of the forest—and conversely, how the forest reshapes our ecological imagination; in the ways humans and non-humans interact to create new narratives.
Through installations, fictional objects, and sensitive inquiries, I reflect on my experiences in the woods and the questions that arise from them.
My practice unfolds through multiple techniques: textile (embroidery, knitting, crochet, natural dyeing), sound (field recording, mixing, spatialization), and is constantly fueled by my interests and curiosity.
“Gathering little nothings—fruits, sounds, images, states of mind.
Placing them at the bottom of my pockets to draw them, infuse them, listen to them, eat them.
Above all, to build and tell myself stories, and in turn scatter these little nothings, which begin to sprout everywhere.”
