Julien Amillard
Installation / Performance
Julien Amillard develops a visual practice deeply nourished by literature.
At once Bouvard, Pécuchet, and Don Quixote, he enjoys transposing—through performances, installations, and writing (poetry, novels, short stories)—a poetic universe tinged with humor, where reality becomes fiction, and vice versa.
Far from being confined to a defined aesthetic, he plays with style according to the context in which the work will appear and the concept he wishes to embody.
Together, his various practices allow him to create a metafiction that questions our world while challenging the role of the spectator.
