Graduated with a DNSEP in Art from the Haute École des Arts du Rhin in 2023 and from the CFPI (Centre de formation des plasticiens intervenants) at the same institution in 2024, Jane Bidet developed during her studies an artistic practice centered on gleaning—exploring walking, chance, and serendipity; collecting and archiving.

Her collections range from market-place leftovers to her grandmother’s postcards, or simply a four-leaf clover found in the park. Like a magpie, she is drawn to what sparkles.
Collector, archivist, or display-maker, she proposes less a clash of heterogeneous elements than a constellation of testimonies to a shared history and common world.

Based at Motoco since April 2024, she now focuses on two main subjects: the house and the blank page, continuing to use gleaning and collecting as tools to express her research.

Giga Dinette is an artist duo composed of Jane Bidet and Clara Valdes. Together, they explore mealtime as a space for creation and social interaction. Their participatory events/performances invite participants to rediscover the act of dining through installations and sculptures, primarily in ceramics. The public is encouraged to “play” and interact with the scenography and/or tableware while sharing a convivial moment, transforming the meal into an artistic experience.

This year, Jane Bidet is a teacher in the public ceramics workshops at HEAR and also works as an art instructor at the APAP (Ateliers Pédagogiques d’Arts Plastiques) in Mulhouse.
