Claire Detallante

Claire Detallante is an illustrator and designer whose whimsical and wondrous worlds pulse beneath supple, refined lines. Her vibrant palette splashes us with a joyful reimagined bestiary, fanciful characters, and generous plant forms that flourish in her images and unfold across paper, sculpture, and textile. Sensitive creatures, cosmic clouds, and trans ephebes punctuate her work, inviting us into floating worlds where time stretches, objects come alive, and images repeat and multiply into pattern.

Trained at La Cambre in Brussels (2007), with a strong affinity for the decorative arts, she creates patterns and paints on wood; her fluid line also thrives in digital drawing, delighting us with a universe that hovers between innocence and irony. Between Brussels, Paris, Milan, and Mulhouse—where she has been based since 2019—she has developed numerous collaborations with the press, independent publishers, fashion houses, and the music world.

In 2023, together with stylist Benoît Bethume, she founded the clothing and accessories brand The Shy Guy Fanzine. She also created a monumental illustration for Bottega Veneta’s Summer 2024 fashion show, as well as illustrations for an immersive animated installation for Hermès Maison boutiques.
