Sous-couches - Dominique Meyer (Bearboz)

As part of the Sous-couches program supported by the Ministry of Culture, Motoco welcomes Dominique Meyer, Bearboz.

On October 28, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., he will come to Motoco to speak about Freedom of Creation.

A press illustrator and committed artist, Bearboz has collaborated for many years with various media outlets and independent publications. His incisive line and critical perspective explore the sensitive areas of our society, from politics to social and environmental issues. A defender of freedom of expression, he sees drawing as a peaceful weapon to question the world and challenge preconceived ideas. His public talks combine the sharing of experience, reflections on freedom of creation, and dialogue about the responsibilities and risks associated with this profession.

Context:

Freedom of creation lies at the heart of artistic practice. This day offers artists the opportunity to reflect, share their experiences, and get informed: in the morning through the experience of a press illustrator, and in the afternoon by discovering institutional resources and existing support to defend this fundamental right.

Through his career and experiences, Dominique Meyer will revisit the current issues surrounding freedom of creation and expression in the fields of visual arts and illustration. A testimony, exchanges, and discussions about the challenges artists face when expressing a critical perspective on society.
